Hong Lake City Wellwater Food Co. Ltd. is a national professional enterprise that specializes in the development, production and marketing of fresh water fish products and is located at the Hung Lake City Dynamite Industrial Park. It is a model base for the processing of large quantities of freshwater fish in the country and is the “Priority Enterprise for Agricultural Industrialization in Hubei Province”. The company was created in 2003 with a registered fund of $35 million. The fixed assets amount to $82.2 million, which covers an area of 48,000 square metres and currently has 680 employees, 65 of whom have higher education and above, and 68 of the specialized technical staff. Companies have modern corporate governance structures and internal management systems. In order to take advantage of the resources of the national wetland nature reserve, Lake Hung, companies have taken advantage of Lake Hung's “Four Fish” as the main source of raw materials and have taken the lead in developing freshwater fish stocks in their domestic industry.
